Here you can find a variety of volunteer opportunities, from environmental work to community service and everything in between. Volunteering is one of the best ways to build your resume, earn service hours, and make a real impact in your community. Our biggest advice: do not wait for the perfect opportunity. Show up, be consistent, and let your work speak for itself. Communities always need people who care enough to show up.
Austin Public Library-Youth Volunteer program
Organization: Austin public library (City of austin)
Deadline: Applications accepted 3 times per year (check like for dates)
Eligibility: 13-17 year olds
Notes: 2-hour shift once per week during fall and spring seasons, and a 4-hour shift per week in the summer. Check the link for the roles, and applying early is a recommendation to secure a spot.

Keep Austin Fed- Food rescue Volunteer
Organization: Keep austin fed
Deadline: Register anytime through GivePulse
Eligibility: Must have a driver's license (drive food runs). Under-18 volunteers must have a parent sign a consent form.

Organization: Austin Animal Center Youth Volunteer Program
Deadline: Rolling- orientation held twice monthly
Eligibility: 13+, but must be accompanied by a parent if you are between the ages of 13 and 15.
Notes: Youth must complete the application and a criminal background investigation form. Check the link for positions.
